A thousand years ago, the apocalypse stopped HALF-WAY through when the fourth horseman, Death, mysteriously disappeared. Now, when two rival teenagers break the magic bonds entrapping her, they must accompany her through the ruins of a world that never made it past 1990 and keep her from finally completing her world-ending mission.
Until she is able to recover her powers, Death is forced to rely on these pitiful humans to go anywhere and do anything, even though she desperately wants to kill them.
When Death discovers her own divine siblings were the ones who imprisoned her, she must decide for herself to trust the family she was given, or the family she has found in these reckless, bickering humans who...to be honest...have started to grow on her.
